An N95 respirator that doesn’t fit properly may not protect you. Applications
The Protex™ SR9520 is intended for respiratory protection and removes more than 95% of airborne particles larger than 0.3 microns such as those generated from sanding, cutting, sawing, polishing, mowing, yardwork, raking, painting, repairing, grinding or general cleaning, fiberglass insulation, construction debris, or other heavy industries. It is also appropriate for general public masking and traveling recommendations, as well as liquid or non-oil-based particles from sprays that do not also emit oil aerosols or vapors.

Thank you Shawmut for engineering these awesome masks!
They fit my face and maintain a complete seal better than any other mask I have tested (more on that below). They really are comfortable all day. I wear them indoors, outdoors, and even during pickleball. I love the overhead straps - no more pain behind my ears like with masks with ear straps.
I appreciate how Shawmut provides these masks at affordable prices, making them accessible to people like me.
When taking out a new mask from the box, first stretch each strap a little: I grab the first 1/3 of one strap (left hand holding the strap about 1 inch above the joint to the mask for support and the right hand holding the strap about 3 inches further along the strap), stretch and hold for about 3 seconds. Then I shift my hands so that they are holding the middle 1/3 of the strap, stretch and hold for ~3 seconds. Then I shift my hands to the last 1/3 of the strap, with my right hand now holding the strap about 1 inch above the opposite joint to the mask for support, then stretch and hold for 3 seconds.
Then I repeat this process for the second strap.
I had originally had two mask straps snap before I learned about this stretching. Ever since, I have never had a mask strap snap. So just make sure you stretch the bands before having them pull hard against the strap joint to the mask - that's where the straps broke for me.
